Type Locality and Naming
Along the village of Kyzylcha, Southwest Gissar. S.Kh. Mirkamalova, G.A. Belenky, 1954 (301, pp.52-53).
Synonym: Kyzylchinskaya Suite, Кызылчинская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Red-colored clays, siltstone (aleurolites), sandstones with subordinate bluish-gray marls and limestones. Thickness up to 150 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
With erosion lies on the green clays of the Eocene
Upper contact
With erosion it is overlain by the Miocene Sulusay Fm (Shurasan district) or Uchkolsay Fm.
Regional extent
Southwest Gissar, Dehkanabad syncline, Shurasan district. Correlated with the Shurysay Fm of the Surkhandarya depression and the upper lower Miocene part of the section of the Sarbatyr Fm and Sumstar Fm.

Contains mollusks - Cardium helmerseni Iljina, Cardiopsis baisnica Ivan., Carbula helmerseni Mikh., Isocardia subtransversa kumsuatense Iljina, Pygacardia et rustica Sow., foraminifers - Nonion ex gr. granosus (d. Orb.), Ammobaculites aff. lobsanensis (Andr.); ostracods - Cytheridea miilleri (Miins.), C. kammilae Ros., C. erenata Gramm in litt., Loxoconcha usboensis Ros., Candona luminosa Bodina, Mediocypris sp.
